I officially have been put on bed rest until Logan is born. What a stubborn child. When I am up and about, my blood pressure gets as high as 170/110. Not cool in my Doctors books. When I am in resting state, it lowers down to 136/86.
So for the next 4 weeks until my scheduled c-section date, you can find me on my couch or bed. Bed rest is really a hard thing for a nesting Mother. I sit there finding things that need to be done and I am so use to doing it myself. I am waiting for my "The Southern Vampire Mysteries" book series to come in the mail. Hopefully that can contain me from going crazy.
I had always thought of bed rest as a great thing. You can lounge around and watch Maury Povich yell "You are NOT the father" or the daily dose of A Baby Story. But after a while of your rear going numb and the time slowly ticking away, your brain turns to mush.
So I guess I will be soaking up this time to myself before Logan is born. Lord knows I'll be requesting these quiet moments back. Maybe I'll go back to the couch and give myself a manicure. If I have to spend the next month on the couch, I might as well be looking good on it.

Time sure does fly!
I can't believe how long it takes me to update my blog. I guess that's what you get when you're 35 weeks pregnant and have a 2 year old who keeps you on your toes!
We're in the homestretch of this pregnancy. Logan is 35 weeks today and I would love to send him some eviction letters! The last 2 weeks have been very tiring with being in and out of the hospital with high blood pressure issues and headaches. If you remember my pregnancy with Ruby, I was induced at 37 weeks due to high blood pressure. As of yesterday, I have been put on bed rest until my next Dr's appt tomorrow morning. We'll see then what the next step or game plan is. 2 weeks ago I was given 2 shots for betamethasone to help mature Logan's lungs in case if he was to come earlier than anticipated. If anyone knows my husbands side of the family, they all know Weidenbach men have no patience. It's very clear this boy takes after them, he wants out now!
My C-Section is schedule for July 28th at 8am, still 4 weeks away. My Dr and I both agree that it's unlikely I'll make it that far for 39 weeks. I guess time will only tell.
I have been nesting like crazy. Every little thing out of it's place bothers me and I must either clean it, put it away or just simply throw it away! Lets' just say we're (I'm) very ready and prepared (so I think) for our little man to make his appearance.
Now I must return to assume my position on my left side in bed or on the couch.

New Family Member
We have one new family member, Allie! She is 19 weeks old and is a Border Collie/Lab Mix dog. As any puppy, she is full of energy! It has become a challenge to keep up with her and Ruby at the same time. I wish I can bottle up both of their energies and store them for myself at a later use.
The picture above is from the first day we adopted her at 12 weeks. She has since then almost doubled in size. She is estimated to weigh around 35 lbs at adulthood. Her mother was a 25 lb border collie and her Dad was a normal sized black lab.
Some days are tough with her, but she was finally house-broken around 15 weeks. She can sit and lay, but is quickly learning to stay and shake her paw.
